2021 Dodge SUV Models: What’s New?
Over the years, the SUV segment has become more popular than ever. To keep up with constantly growing demand, Dodge is always trying to improve its SUV lineup to ensure that its lineup is better than the competition. This year, there are several Dodge SUVs that have received a variety of upgrades. Keep reading to find out what is new on some of Dodge’s most popular SUV models.
2021 Dodge Durango
The Durango is a spacious and versatile SUV that is able to seat up to seven passengers and offers a wide range of special features.
For the 2021 model, Dodge has completely redesigned the Durango’s exterior. The exterior now features a revised front bumper, updated rear spoiler, a refreshed front grille, and new headlamps. There are also a few interior changes including a more driver-orientated dashboard with a larger infotainment display that features lower controls that are easy for the driver to access.
The Durango keeps the same standard touchscreen infotainment display; however, it now also offers an available 10.1-inch infotainment display that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as offering an available wireless phone charger.
There is also a more impressive Tow-N-Go package that increases the towing capacity to 8,700 lbs. Also, there are new 20-inch wheels available on certain trim levels.
Dodge Journey
The Dodge Journey is a sporty and spacious crossover. Discontinued for 2021, but many car enthusiasts love this vehicle because it has the spaciousness of an SUV while also featuring the agility and handling of a sedan.
No redesigned updates for the Dodge Journey, but will now get a more aggressive design that features slender LED headlights and a slimmed-down and unique-looking front grille. The rear bumper has also been redesigned to give the vehicle a sleeker appearance. Also, the Journey will now feature new aluminum-alloy wheels and new chrome accents that are located throughout the exterior.
When it comes to power and performance, the Journey will come standard with the same V6 engine that was featured in the 2020 model. However, Dodge has decided to replace the front-wheel driving system with a rear-wheel-drive that should help to improve handling.
The spacious interior will still provide enough room to fit up to seven passengers comfortably. However, there will now be upgraded infotainment equipment and more comfort options for both the front and back seat passengers.
